ENTRY REGIME FOR CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Citizens of the Republic of Serbia may enter the Union of the Comoros. A negative PCR-test result, issued no more than 72 hours earlier, is mandatory.

 

ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY

For citizens of the Republic of Serbia a visa for entry into the Union of the Comoros is required. USEFUL INFORMATION

HEALTH SITUATION — All information on the current health situation can be found on the World Health Organization website www.who.int.

Beside yellow fever, there is a risk of malaria in the lower regions, insect and reptile stings and bites, jaundice, hepatitis, cholera, amoeba, water worms, etc. Persons who are not used to high altitudes, may suffer from altitude sickness.

It is safe to drink only bottled water.

TRANSPORT — The country consists of four islands, of which three: Grande Comore (Ngazidja), Moheli (Mwali), Anjouan (Nzwani) are under the jurisdiction of the Union of the Comoros, while the fourth island Mayotte (Maore) is under the sovereignty of France and is treated as overseas department of France. All four islands have airports, and the biggest Prince Said Ibrahim Airport is found in the capital Moroni. The Union of the Comoros has three sea ports: Fomboni, Moroni and Mutsamudu, which are not, however, mercantile ports.
Driving is on the right of the road.

OTHER INFORMATION — It is recommended to use the services of travel agencies when coming to the Union of the Comoros, while individual travel needs thorough planning and obtaining information.
Official languages are Comorian, Arabic and French.
National currency in the Comoros is the Comorian franc (KMF).
