Minister Selaković congratulated the Independence Day of the Republic of Cyprus

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, sent his warmest congratulations on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Cyprus, as well as best wishes for the all-round prosperity and well-being of the brotherly Cypriot people.

"I am firmly convinced that the relations and ties between our two peoples and states, constantly based on strong friendship, mutual trust, historically confirmed closeness and solidarity, will continue to develop in the spirit of close cooperation and unbreakable friendship", the congratulatory message to the Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides reads.

On this occasion, Selaković reiterated the full and unreserved support that the Republic of Serbia provides to the preservation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Cyprus, which also includes the sovereign rights of Cyprus in its Exclusive Economic Zone.

"At the same time, I would like to express special gratitude for the principled position of the Republic of Cyprus on the issue of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia, as well as for your country's strong and active support to the Republic of Serbia on its path to EU membership", the message reads.
