Minister Đurić visits Knjaževac
Reflecting on the accomplishments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the Government’s first 100 days, Prime Minister Macut highlighted the successful launch of the electronic visa issuance system – the E-Visa, marking a new phase in the digitalization and modernization of Serbia’s consular services.
He emphasized that the introduction of this system, currently available for a select number of countries, represents a significant step towards aligning Serbia with contemporary international standards, as it simplifies, accelerates, and broadens access to the visa process for citizens of numerous countries around the world.
“The introduction of the E-Visa system is of particular importance in the context of the upcoming EXPO 2027. Serbia will welcome millions of visitors from across the globe, and this new system will facilitate more efficient entry and easier access to our market, events, and institutions. It demonstrates our readiness to host a global event of this scale and to serve as a true centre of gathering, innovation, and dialogue,” stated Prime Minister Macut.
He concluded that by introducing the E-Visa, Serbia is sending a clear message – we are opening up, modernising, and doing everything in our power to become more accessible to the world.
“I believe this system will lead to an increase in arrivals, stronger ties with the diaspora, growth in tourism and investment flows, and enhanced international standing of the Republic of Serbia,” the Prime Minister noted.
