Minister Đurić: Visit by President Herzog to strengthen Serbia-Israel ties
12. Sep 2024.
While seeing off President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog at the Belgrade "Nikola Tesla" airport today, Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić expressed his gratitude for the visit to Belgrade, emphasizing that high-level meetings always give an additional impetus to promoting relations between the two countries.
The Serbian and Jewish peoples share a centuries-old friendship, Đurić underlined, and today the importance of relations with the State of Israel far exceeds the Middle East affairs or just our bilateral relations.
The head of Serbian diplomacy also thanked President Herzog for support to the specialized exhibition Expo 2027, to be hosted by Serbia, and expressed satisfaction with the cooperation potential discussed during the visit.
The farewell to President Herzog at the Belgrade airport was also attended by the Serbian Ambassador to Israel, Miroljub Petrović, and the Israeli Ambassador to Serbia, Avivit Bar-Ilan.
