Minister Đurić confers with Tanzanian Foreign Minister
During their phone conversation, Minister Đurić emphasized the long-standing friendship between the two countries, dating back to the era of the former Yugoslavia. He highlighted Serbia's continued commitment to upholding the legacy of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Minister Đurić reaffirmed Serbia's dedication to strengthening political, economic, and broader ties with African nations. In this regard, he noted that May 25 has been designated as the Day of Friendship with the Peoples of Africa as a testament to this commitment.
He underscored that enhancing political dialogue at the highest levels would serve as a catalyst for deepening relations between Serbia and Tanzania.
In this context, Minister Đurić extended an invitation to his Tanzanian counterpart to visit Serbia in his new capacity. He recalled that Minister Kombo had previously visited Belgrade in his former role as Tanzania’s non-resident Ambassador.
Finally, Minister Đurić expressed particular satisfaction with Tanzania’s confirmed participation in the specialized Expo 2027 exhibition in Belgrade, highlighting it as a key opportunity for further cooperation.
