27. Jun 2024.
On the fringes of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States, which is being held in Asuncion, Paraguay, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Marko Djuric had talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina Diana Mondino.

Djuric stated that Serbia and Argentina were bound by traditionally friendly and close relations, and emphasized the need to further strengthen overall bilateral cooperation on the basis of these values.

The head of Serbian diplomacy thanked Argentina for its principled position concerning non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo.

Djuric said that Serbia, for its part, would continue to lend support to Argentina when it comes to issues of national importance, at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.

According to Minister Djuric, Serbia and Argentina should also build and promote relations through the strengthening of economic cooperation, especially in the fields of agriculture, pharmaceutical industry and energy.

When it comes to forging ties within the framework of education, Djuric added that we were very proud of the fact that young people from Argentina were attending university studies in our country as part of the "World in Serbia" programme.

Minister Djuric reminded that Serbia would host the Specialized International Exhibition EXPO in 2027, expressing the expectation that Argentina would take part in this prestigious event.
