Đurić: Serbia firmly committed to deepening cooperation with the United States

In his conversation with U.S. Representative Pat Harrigan, a member of the House Armed Services Committee and the Serbian Caucus in the U.S. Congress, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Đurić conveyed that Serbia remains firmly committed to further strengthening relations with the United States, founded on more than a century of diplomatic ties.

Expressing satisfaction with today’s meeting and the opportunity for discussion, Đurić and Harrigan jointly assessed that relations between the two countries are on an upward trajectory and that this positive momentum should be used to advance the strategic dialogue to which Serbia aspires.

Minister Đurić emphasized that Serbia stands ready to continue enhancing bilateral cooperation in the political and economic spheres, as well as in other areas of mutual interest.

The Serbian Foreign Minister underlined that economic cooperation is one of the pillars of relations between the two countries and noted that Serbia sees significant opportunities for further deepening the partnership.

Đurić extended an invitation to Congressman Harrigan to visit Belgrade and Serbia and become personally acquainted with its rich cultural and historical heritage, for which he expressed interest during today’s meeting.
