Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić met in Antalya, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Zambia, Mulambo Haimbe.

Recalling that the traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Zambia date back to the period of the former Yugoslavia and their cooperation within the Non-Aligned Movement, Đurić emphasized that Serbia is committed to further strengthening political dialogue on these foundations and advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

He expressed particular gratitude to Zambia for its principled and firm position in support of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Speaking about opportunities to enhance cooperation, particularly in the economic sphere, Đurić noted that Serbia, owing to the reforms it has implemented, enjoys a stable economic environment and has more than doubled its GDP over the past decade.

Minister Đurić also underscored that Serbia especially welcomes Zambia’s participation in the Expo 2027 Belgrade, assessing it as an excellent opportunity for Zambia to present itself and to establish contacts with international business stakeholders during the event.
