Đurić confers U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Hanrahan in Washington
Minister Đurić underscored the importance of maintaining continuous and open dialogue with U.S. officials, noting that such engagement builds trust and contributes to a better understanding of shared interests at a time of complex global challenges.
The discussions also addressed concrete projects scheduled for implementation in 2026, including plans for joint activities in the area of cultural cooperation.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on regional issues and to reaffirm Serbia’s commitment to peace and stability. Serbia has demonstrated in the recent period that it remains a factor of stability, and the talks also covered specific proposals aimed at enhancing connectivity within the Balkan region, as well as the potential role of the United States in that process.
At the same time, Minister Đurić referred to the position of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, emphasizing that for Serbia the protection of Christian heritage in Kosovo and Metohija is a matter of essential importance.
