Đurić confers with Péter Szijjártó in Luxembourg

On the sidelines of the Committee of Ministers meeting of the Council of Europe in Luxembourg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó.

Expressing satisfaction with the exceptional level of bilateral relations, the two officials discussed opportunities for further strengthening political, economic, and all other ties between the two countries.

Minister Đurić noted that the frequent meetings at high and top levels significantly contribute to the success of bilateral cooperation.

During today’s meeting, particular attention was given to improving railway transport between Serbia and Hungary.

Pointing out that increasingly dynamic economic cooperation follows the excellent political relations between the two countries, Đurić stated that, in the period ahead, the focus should be placed on enhancing energy security and improving infrastructure connectivity.

The ministers also discussed cooperation between their respective ministries, as well as current issues on the international agenda.
