Đurić confers with Péter Szijjártó

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with the Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó.

Minister Đurić expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations, emphasizing that they are at their highest point in modern history, as evidenced by frequent high-level meetings and extensive cooperation.

The Serbian Foreign Minister highlighted the dynamic economic cooperation, which complements the exceptional political ties elevated to the level of a strategic partnership. He noted the steady growth in trade in goods and services, increasing Hungarian investments in the Serbian economy, and joint projects in infrastructure and energy.

Regarding energy cooperation, Minister Đurić underscored its strategic importance, pointing to the strong collaboration in the gas, oil, and electricity sectors. He emphasized that joint projects in this area will contribute to the economic security of both countries and the wider region.

On regional matters, Minister Đurić reaffirmed that one of Serbia’s key foreign policy priorities is the preservation of regional stability. He reiterated Serbia’s strong commitment to overcoming challenges and enhancing cooperation with all partners in the region.
