Đurić confers with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania in Munich
The meeting, which was also attended by Serbia’s Minister for European Integration, Nemanja Starović, focused on intensifying political cooperation between the two countries.
High-level visits would provide an additional impetus to strengthening bilateral ties, and on this occasion the Serbian Foreign Minister extended an invitation to his Lithuanian counterpart to visit Serbia.
Speaking about the enhancement of cooperation, Đurić expressed interest in expanding collaboration across a range of areas, particularly in the fields of economy and business. The energy situation in the Republic of Serbia and the issue of energy independence were highlighted as among the most significant strategic topics of the present day.
The interlocutors also discussed current considerations regarding modalities of the EU enlargement policy and Serbia’s European path. Minister Đurić expressed the expectation that Lithuania would support the opening of Cluster 3 in Serbia’s accession negotiations with the European Union.
