Djuric confers with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Benin

On the fringes of the informal meeting of foreign ministers of the EU member states and representatives of the Western Balkan region, which is being held today in Luxembourg, the Head of Serbian diplomacy Marko Djuric met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Benin Olushegun Adjadi Bakari.

Pointing out that Serbia and Benin have been bound by friendly ties since 1962 and the time of the Non-Aligned Movement, Djuric said that our country was determined to further improve those relations at all levels.

The two interlocutors assessed that an exchange of visits between the officials of both countries would be an additional impetus to the strengthening of not only political relations but also to the two peoples getting to know each other even better.

Minister Djuric stated that Serbia was also interested in strengthening cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and agriculture.

He took the opportunity to recall that Serbia, as the host, is intensively working on the organization of the Specialized International Exhibition Expo 2027, and invited the Republic of Benin to take part in this prestigious event.
