Đurić confers with Georgian Foreign Minister

On the sidelines of the Committee of Ministers meeting of the Council of Europe in Luxembourg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Bochorishvili.

Minister Đurić emphasized that Serbia is strongly committed to further intensifying political dialogue and enhancing overall relations and cooperation with Georgia, building on the foundation of traditionally friendly and close ties.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the ongoing process of opening the Embassy of Serbia in Georgia, noting that this will further contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Minister Đurić highlighted that a direct air route between Belgrade and Tbilisi will be launched soon, describing it as welcome news for business communities in both countries, as well as for cooperation in the fields of tourism and the economy.

The Serbian Foreign Minister extended special thanks to Georgia for its firm support of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stating that Serbia unequivocally supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.

Ministers Đurić and Bochorishvili also discussed current developments in Serbia and Georgia, regional matters, and key issues on the global stage.
