Đurić confers with Ethiopian Foreign Minister

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, spoke today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Gedion Timotheos.

During their phone conversation, Minister Đurić highlighted the long-standing history of bilateral relations between the two countries, emphasizing Serbia’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Ethiopia across all areas of mutual interest.

The two officials acknowledged the traditional affinity between Serbia and Ethiopia and agreed that bilateral relations could be further enhanced through new avenues of collaboration.

Minister Đurić noted that Serbia’s chairmanship of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence and the upcoming specialized Expo 2027, which will be hosted in Belgrade, present valuable opportunities for deepening ties between the two nations.

Extending an invitation to his Ethiopian counterpart to visit Serbia this year, Minister Đurić observed that while the geopolitical and ideological landscape of bilateral cooperation has evolved since the founding of the Non-Aligned Movement, the friendship between Serbia and Ethiopia has remained strong and reliable.
