Đurić Confers with Cameroon’s Minister of Foreign Affairs

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Đurić met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cameroon Lejeune Mbella Mbella, who is in Belgrade as a member of the delegation led by Prime Minister of Cameroon Joseph Dion Ngute, on the occasion of the Commemorative Meeting marking the 65th anniversary of the First Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement.

The Serbian Foreign Minister thanked Cameroon for its consistent support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia, emphasising that Serbia, guided by the same principled position, fully supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Cameroon.

The interlocutors agreed on the need to jointly explore and identify new areas of cooperation in the period ahead, with a view to translating the good political relations between the two countries into more concrete forms of partnership of mutual interest.

Particular attention was devoted to cooperation in the field of education. Minister Đurić presented the opportunities available to young people from Cameroon through the “World in Serbia” programme, highlighting the importance of education in forging lasting ties between the two countries and their peoples.

Minister Đurić expressed his satisfaction with Cameroon’s participation in the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade, which will provide an additional opportunity to deepen cooperation and foster closer ties between the two countries.
