03. Dec 2025.
During his visit to Washington, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, told U.S. Congressman and member of the Serbian Caucus Brad Schneider that Serbia seeks to build an even more intensive political dialogue and economic partnership with the United States, grounded in shared interests and values.

The Serbian Foreign Minister emphasized that the establishment of a strategic dialogue would provide additional momentum for strengthening comprehensive cooperation across a wide range of areas of mutual interest.

A particular focus of the discussion was the importance of the Serbian community in the United States and its potential to further deepen ties between the two countries.

Minister Đurić underlined the importance of U.S. support in the process of normalizing relations between Belgrade and Pristina, noting that this process has been seriously hindered by unilateral actions of the Pristina authorities and the ongoing pressure campaign targeting the Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija.

The two also discussed the challenges Serbia faces concerning the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS), as well as the steps Serbia is undertaking to resolve the situation as favorably as possible in the near future.
