Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi congratulates Minister Đurić on his reappointment

Ambassador Li Ming conveyed to Minister Đurić a congratulatory message from the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, on the occasion of his reappointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

Minister Đurić expressed his gratitude for the kind wishes, emphasizing that one of his priorities during his upcoming mandate will be the continued strengthening of Serbian-Chinese friendship and the further deepening of cooperation, both politically and economically.

Noting the intensive political dialogue that characterizes the cooperation between the two countries, Minister Đurić reaffirmed Serbia’s commitment to enhancing the comprehensive strategic partnership and underlined that the exceptional relations between President Aleksandar Vučić and President Xi Jinping provide a special contribution to the "ironclad friendship" between the two states and peoples.

Minister Đurić also expressed his appreciation for the principled position of the People’s Republic of China regarding the issue of Kosovo and Metohija and for its consistent support for Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, stressing that such support is equally important both bilaterally and within international organizations.

The Serbian Foreign Minister further noted that Chinese companies are making a significant contribution to Serbia’s development and expressed particular satisfaction with the fact that economic cooperation is being realized in key sectors such as road and railway infrastructure, energy, and investment.
