State Secretary Jović at the Ministerial meeting of the Global Civilization Initiative

The Initiative, launched in 2023 by President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, aims to promote a multipolar world order and shared progress for humanity through dialogue and mutual understanding among nations.

In his address, Jović expressed the Republic of Serbia’s support for the Initiative’s goals and emphasized the importance of dialogue, cooperation, and friendship among peoples, as well as mutual respect for differences—particularly in the context of current global conflicts. He noted that Serbia stands as a positive example of a multiethnic society fostering stable and harmonious interethnic relations.

He placed particular emphasis on the challenges faced by the Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija, including the systematic destruction of monasteries and other cultural heritage sites, which bear witness to Serbian identity and spiritual heritage.
