Singapore Confirms Participation in Expo 2027

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Dušan Kozarev met in Singapore with Director-General for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore Low Hon Mun, during a working visit to attend the GZERO Summit Asia.

During the meeting, Singapore confirmed its participation in the Specialised Expo 2027. Kozarev expressed his gratitude to the Government of Singapore for its decision to take part in this important international event, noting that a record number of participating countries has already been announced for a Specialised Expo.

The interlocutors reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations, rooted in the historic ties dating back to the era of the Non-Aligned Movement. Particular attention was devoted to opportunities for advancing economic cooperation and exchanging experiences between the two small yet dynamic states, as well as to the importance of intensifying contacts at the high and highest levels, including through the opportunity presented by the forthcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Kozarev briefed his interlocutor on the difficult situation faced by Serbs and the threats to Christian heritage in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.

The discussions also covered multilateral relations, including Serbia’s cooperation with ASEAN. Director-General Low Hon Mun also extended an invitation to Serbia to participate in the Forum of Small States, an initiative launched by Singapore at the United Nations.
