Serbian President’s wife Tamara Vučić receives the Cuban President's wife
The two first ladies visited Kalemegdan and the Temple of Saint Sava.
Ms. Vučić and Ms. Peraza, accompanied by a tour guide, walked through the Kalemegdan Park and visited the Stambol Gate and the Victor monument, a symbol of the Serbian capital, which allows a view to the rivers Sava and Danube.
In the afternoon, Ms. Vučić and Ms. Peraza visited the Temple of Saint Sava in Vračar, in the company of Protodeacon Mladen Kovačević, who showed them the interior and the frescoes of the Temple and told them about its history, importance and reasons why it was built in that location.
Mr. Kovačević also took his guests to the dome of the Temple, from where they were able to see the panorama of Belgrade.
He also spoke about the Serbian history and the importance of Saint Sava, to whom the building was dedicated, and gave Ms. Peraza a monograph on the church.
