Selaković: To strengthen political dialogue and economic cooperation with Cameroon
Minister Selaković stated that the two countries were joined by a traditional friendship that had lasted for decades, mutual understanding and support, as well as important mutual goals and values conceived within the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). In this regard, Selaković said that it was necessary to work on strengthening political dialogue, improving economic cooperation, as well as cooperation in other areas of common interest.
Minister Selaković noted that today’s meeting with Minister Mbella Mbella was the third in the last five months, the previous ones having been on the margins of the UN General Assembly and the commemorative gathering of the NAM in Belgrade. In his words, this was a confirmation that the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries were improving.
He emphasised his pleasure for the opportunity to be the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia to visit Cameroon in 40 years, and that he believed this visit would contribute to achieving a more efficient cooperation.
Minister Selaković expressed his special gratitude to Cameroon for its principled support to territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, observance of international law, and mutual support in international organisations. He also highlighted Serbia's strong, unequivocal support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Cameroon.
