Selaković: Great respect of Mexico for reforms in Serbia, solid support to our territorial integrity and sovereignty

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Selaković, has said that during the two-day visit to Mexico, in meetings with officials of this friendly and brotherly country great respect was shown to President Aleksandar Vučić, Serbia and all the reforms we have implemented and once again the solid and strong support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country was confirmed.

Summarizing the results of the visit, Minister Selaković emphasized that at the meetings with Mexico officials the solid and strong support to efforts invested by President Vučić and Serbian Government, regarding solving the problem of Kosovo and Metohija, into being guided by nothing else but peaceful and diplomatic means and trying to solve this difficult national issue  had once again been confirmed. 

“In all this, we have from our friends in Mexico strong and principled support”, said the Serbian Foreign Minister, who met in Mexico with the President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon and Senate President Olga Sanchez Cordero.

Minister Selaković says that Mexican President was the man of incredible energy, great vision and a great leader.

“We are leaving Mexico very pleased with the meetings we had, messages sent to us and special messages of President Obrador which I will transmit to President Vučić”, said Minister Selaković.

He says that at these meetings there were discussions about the necessity of the initiation of economic cooperation of Serbia and Mexico, that it was agreed with Minister Ebrard to conclude the double taxation agreement within the shortest time, about the promotion and protection of investments as well as about finally reaching the solution by which our citizens will be able freely to travel to Mexico without visa.

“We expect the high delegation from Mexico at our memorial summit on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Non-Allied Movement”, said Minister Selaković.
