Minister Dacic presented Tesla diplomatic passports to American students

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic handed over two Tesla diplomatic passports in the Museum of Serbian Diplomacy, in the foyer of Nikola Tesla, where the Office of Nobel laureate Ivo Andric is also exhibited, as part of the celebration of the "Tesla Year of Tesla People".

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic handed over two Tesla diplomatic passports in the Museum of Serbian Diplomacy, in the foyer of Nikola Tesla, where the Office of Nobel laureate Ivo Andric is also exhibited, as part of the celebration of the "Tesla Year of Tesla People".

Minister Dacic handed Tesla diplomatic passports to Reade Ben and Kayla Zhun, as the first Americans, members of Tesla people - from Princeton and Columbia Universities. These Fulbright scholars are staying in Belgrade and London, at the University of Cambridge, as part of their visit to Europe, after completing an internship at the White House.

Reade Ben and Kayla Zhun will make a video with colleagues from the Student Excellence Centre of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from the "Road Arrow" and "Beoavia" teams, which build a student Formula 1 vehicle and make drones and rockets.

The Director of the Student Excellence Centre, Bogdan Carapic, and the head of the "Beoavia" student team, David Cvetkovic, also received Tesla diplomatic passports.

Minister Dacic, at the initiative of the Serbian scientific diaspora, on 12 January, the day when Tesla put the first hydroelectric plant on the planet into operation at Niagara Falls in 1895 and enlightened the humanity, declared the "Tesla Year of Tesla People" on the occasion of eight decades of culture of remembrance of Nikola Tesla (1943-2023), who built himself into the very foundations of modern technological civilization.

The goal of celebrating the "Tesla Year of Tesla People" is to promote the achievements of Nikola Tesla, the American innovator of Serbian origin, and of the Serbian scientific diaspora, as well as to strengthen the relationship between Serbs and Americans - Tesla people, since he was an American inventor of Serbian origin.

The first appointed ambassador of "Tesla Year of Tesla People" is David Vujic, the last from the “Serbo 7” team of Serbian engineers in the Apollo 11 mission of the NASA space agency and the honorary president of the Tesla Science Foundation from the U.S., and he is followed by Dejan Ilic, a famous innovator with 680 registered patents, Dan Tana, a Hollywood legend and ambassador of the Football Association of Serbia, American pianist of Serbian origin Marina Arsenijevic, composer and author of the Tesla Rhapsody for Tesla People, the famous British producer of Serbian origin Gabrielle Tana from London and many others, whose names will be announced throughout the Tesla Year.
