Minister Dačić with NATO Deputy Assistant SG for Operations
On that occasion, the issues of the current cooperation between Serbia and NATO, security situation in Kosovo and Metohija as well as the role of NATO-led KFOR mission, were discussed.
The head of Serbian diplomacy, Ivic Dačić, provided information on the current situation in Kosovo an Metohija, particularly emphasising the importance and role of the impartial and status-neutral engagement of KFOR, whose main goals are preserving peace and security as well as protection of Serbian and other non-Albanian population in the Province.
NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General emphasised that the Alliance respects Serbia’s policy of military neutrality, and that KFOR will continue to perform its mandate in a status-neutral manner, in accordance with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
Progress in political dialogue was established and possibilities of further improvement in political dialogue in the cooperation between Serbia and NATO considered, with the aim of preserving peace and promoting stability in the region.
