Minister Dacic meets with Head of the Council of Europe Office

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Janos Babity, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade.

Minister Dacic congratulated Babity on taking office and said that he was pleased with the support the Council of Europe had been providing to Serbia for over 20 years now. He noted that Serbia was committed to and persistent in applying the values of this organization.

Head of the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade Janos Babity thanked the Minister for the cooperation so far and pointed out that the goal was to continue the existing and launch new projects in the Republic of Serbia during his tenure, supported by the Council of Europe.

Minister Dacic took the opportunity to reiterate to his collocutor our positions on the unacceptability of the application by the so-called “Kosovo” for membership in the Council of Europe, and thanked all member states that showed understanding for the positions of the Republic of Serbia.
