The last in a series of meetings was held with the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, Alexander Schallenberg; together, they announced that the two countries will mark 150 years of diplomatic cooperation in the upcoming year.
Dačić assessed in Vienna that according to what Serbia has done in the implementation of the agreement and arrangements on the Kosovo issue, but also other issues such as ending visa-free regime for some countries with the aim of reducing irregular migrant arrivals, he believes that Serbia should have become a member of the EU a long time ago.
He emphasised at the joint press conference with his Austrian colleague that there are a large number of Serbians living in this country and called upon them to become more actively involved in political life.
During his visit, Dačić also met with the President of the Austrian Parliament, Wolfgang Sobotka, and at the press conference that was later held, he said that the President of the Austrian Parliament announced his upcoming visit to Serbia.
Dačić also met in Vienna with the OSCE’s Secretary General, Helga Schmid, and discussed with her relations between Serbia and this organisation.
