Kozarev confers with Uganda’s Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives
It was noted that there is mutual interest in intensifying overall relations, with a focus on modernizing the 1963 Trade Agreement and enhancing cooperation in the fields of agriculture, tourism, mineral resources, as well as science, technology, and innovation. Particular emphasis was placed on the “Uganda Connect” platform in Belgrade and the work of the Joint Commission for Trade Cooperation, which are expected to contribute to a more dynamic development of economic and commercial ties between the two countries.
The Secretary General stated that Serbia and Uganda possess solid foundations for further advancement of bilateral cooperation, based on the traditionally good and friendly relations between the two countries. He wished the Ugandan delegation successful participation in the Second Meeting of International Participants of Expo 2027 and thanked them for their participation.
Minister Mbadi emphasized that although Serbia is a small country in terms of size, it enjoys high esteem in Uganda and is recognized as a reliable partner. He also expressed particular gratitude for the inclusion of Ugandan students in the “World in Serbia” program, highlighting its immense importance for building professional capacities in less developed regions of Uganda.
