The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Dušan Kozarev, met today in Kampala, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement, with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Senegal, Khare Diouf.

During the meeting in Kampala, the two officials confirmed the traditionally good relations between Serbia and Senegal and noted the scope and mutual interest for their further strengthening and deepening.

The interlocutors discussed the potential for more dynamic cooperation in the areas of economy—with particular emphasis on agriculture and information technologies—as well as in defense and security, sports, and education. They also underlined the importance of more frequent high-level exchanges and the encouragement of mutual participation in various international fairs and events.

Kozarev extended an invitation to students from Senegal to take advantage of Serbia’s scholarship opportunities under the “World in Serbia” program, thanked Diouf for announcing Senegal’s participation in EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, and agreed on closer cooperation between the two ministries in the field of professional training and capacity building.
