Kozarev confers with the Secretary General of the Armenian MFA in Yerevan
A mutual commitment to respect for international law and support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two traditionally close countries was reaffirmed.
The focus was on bilateral ties, with an emphasis on economic, infrastructure, energy and cultural cooperation, while current geopolitical topics were also discussed, particularly bearing in mind that Armenia shares a border with Iran.
Kozarev conveyed to his interlocutor deep concern over the latest wave of repression by the regime of Albin Kurti against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, illustrating this with a number of draconian sentences, arrests and beatings that have been witnessed in the recent period.
The discussion also covered possibilities for further cooperation between the two ministries, particularly in the field of staff training, on which the interlocutors signed a relevant memorandum in February 2025 in the same city.
Kozarev is in Yerevan as a member of the delegation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, who during the day participated in a panel within the framework of “Yerevan Dialogue 2026” and met with the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
