02. Dec 2025.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nevena Jovanović, took part today in the conference “Serbia – Africa 2025: Dignity”, organized by the Security-Information Agency.

The conference was opened by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and was attended by high-level delegations from as many as 43 African countries.

President Vučić underscored the importance of the long-standing and profound unity between the peoples of Serbia and Africa, rooted in friendship, historical solidarity, and a shared vision for the future.

In her address, State Secretary Jovanović emphasized that Serbia follows with deep admiration the progress of African nations and remains firmly committed to further strengthening political, economic, and cultural cooperation grounded in friendship, mutual trust, and shared values.

She underlined that peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the capacity to build a stable and prosperous society, adding that Serbia greatly values the support of numerous African partners with regard to the respect for territorial integrity and international law.

Held in Belgrade for the second time, the conference brings together representatives of African security services and reaffirms the deep ties between Serbia and the African continent—ties built on mutual respect, historical cooperation, and common values: freedom, independence, sovereignty, and dignity.
