Jovanović Confers with Ambassador of Canada

In a cordial exchange, the two interlocutors reviewed bilateral relations between Serbia and Canada, expressing satisfaction with the progress achieved in cooperation to date and underscoring the importance of further advancing it in areas of mutual interest.

Particular attention was devoted to economic cooperation and opportunities for its further enhancement. In this context, the establishment of a direct air service between Belgrade and Toronto in May this year was welcomed as an important development contributing to closer ties between the citizens of the two countries, facilitating contacts between their respective business communities and providing additional impetus to the strengthening of economic relations.

The interlocutors also discussed the intensification of interparliamentary cooperation, noting that this format provides an important channel for further deepening bilateral relations and continuing the exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
