First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić meets Leo Docherty

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić met with the Minister for Europe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Leo Docherty today, on the sidelines of the Conference dedicated to the prevention of sexual violence in conflicts in London.

During the open discussions, mutual interest and willingness to further deepen and strengthen cooperation between Serbia and the United Kingdom in all areas of interest to the two countries was highlighted.

In the context of the commonly expressed desire for further strengthening of political dialogue at the high and the highest level, Minister Ivica Dačić expressed his readiness to continue talks with British officials and improve cooperation in various areas, among other things in the improvement and implementation of measures for the prevention of sexual violence in armed conflicts and helping the victims of such crimes.

Discussions were also held of the issues in the domain of bilateral political and economic cooperation and/or the current international matters. The interlocutors agreed that there still was a lot of room for improvement of bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of economy.
