Dacic meets with Peach and Ahmad on the fringes of the Bled Strategic Forum

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic spoke today on the margins of the Bled Strategic Forum with UK Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the Western Balkans Stuart Peach and UK Foreign Office Minister of State Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, discussing bilateral relations, cooperation in the field of economy and energy, the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, the war in Ukraine, and other current international issues.
When it comes to Kosovo and Metohija, Dacic pointed out that Serbia appreciated the understanding of our position, as well as the objective assessment of the newly emerged situation, and noted that Pristina’s unilateral moves were obstructing the further course of talks, but that Serbia remained determined in its policy of preserving peace and stability in the region, despite the provocations.
In the meeting, interest was expressed in promoting the political dialogue at the high and top levels in the period ahead.
The interlocutors agreed in the assessment that there were additional opportunities for the strengthening of cooperation between Serbia and Great Britain.
