Consular Consultations Between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Azerbaijan

It was jointly assessed that bilateral consular relations are in good standing and are being conducted in a mutually satisfactory manner.

The parties reviewed issues related to bilateral consular cooperation and exchanged views on prospects for its further expansion. They also exchanged opinions and experiences regarding the provision of consular assistance to their nationals abroad, with particular emphasis on procedures in emergency and crisis situations.

Special attention was devoted to the exchange of experiences in the field of digitalization of consular services through the use of modern information technologies, as well as in the area of legislation and the implementation of regulations concerning migration, with particular reference to labor migration.

It was concluded that the diplomatic and consular missions of both countries maintain high-quality and substantive cooperation with the competent authorities of the receiving states, and it was agreed that the next round of consular consultations will be held in Baku.
