Yerevan: Two gold medals for Serbia at the European Men`s Boxing Championship

At the European Men`s Boxing Championship held in Yerevan from 23 May to 30 May 2022, representatives of the Serbian boxing team Vakhid Abbasov and Artem Ageev have won two gold medals, defeating the competitors from Georgia Lasha Guruli and Italy Alfred Cromwell Commey in the finals.
Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Armenia Tatjana Panajotović-Cvetković attended the final matches and the presentation of medals. She congratulated the winners and the exceptional team of the Boxing Association of Serbia on their great success and the long-awaited gold medals from the European Championship after 37 years.
Ambassador Panajotović-Cvetković also thanked the entire team for their great commitment and effort, which yielded the best results and provided a unique opportunity for the two Serbian competitors to mount the podium in one day, with the intonation of the Republic of Serbia anthem.
A welcoming cocktail party in support of the Serbian national team was organised at the Serbian Embassy in Yerevan last weekend.
