Sofia: Ambassador Jović at the "Wealth of Colours and Traditions" exhibition

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Bulgaria, Mr. Željko Jović attended the opening of the exhibition "Wealth of Colorus and Traditions" in the National Library "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Sofia and greeted the representatives of the National Library of Serbia which participated in this international project.

The aim of the exhibition was to promote national tradition and culture, and in addition to the national libraries of Bulgaria and Serbia, the National Library of Georgia, the National Library of Romania, the National and University Library of Croatia and the National Library "Djurdje Černojević" from Montenegro also participated.

The National Library of Serbia presented postcards on which the national costumes of our country were presented. The aforementioned works are part of the rich collection of sisters Danica and Ljubica Janković who are internationally recognised ethnomusicologists and founders of Serbian ethnochoreology.

The event was attended by experts from the field of ethnography, folklore and other academic fields, as well as diplomatic representatives accredited in Bulgaria.
