Sofia: Ambassador Jović met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Bulgaria, Željko Jović, attended a reception organised in the honour of Nigerian Foreign Minister Geoffrey Onyeama at the Embassy of Nigeria in Bucharest, which covers Bulgaria on a non-resident basis, and the Embassy of Morocco.

Ambassador Jović and Minister Onyeama confirmed the excellent bilateral relations between Serbia and Nigeria and the possibilities for a wider cooperation, especially in the area of food industry and energy.

Foreign Minister Onyeama told the Ambassador that the opening of the Nigerian Embassy in Belgrade was expected soon, which would be another step toward a stronger friendship between the two countries and dialogue at all levels.

During the visit, Minister Onyeama gave a lecture on “Strengthening Resilience in Nutrition and Food Security on the African Continent”, initiated by the African Union, in order to present modalities for strengthening agro-food systems, health and social protection systems for the acceleration of human, social and economic capital development.
