Seoul: Ambassador Grbić held a lecture on Serbia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea
The lecture was held as part of the event “18th dialogue with diplomats”, during which the activities and organization of Korean diplomacy are presented to Korean graduates interested in a career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Grbić presented the geographical location, history, culture, customs, and famous landmarks of Serbia, as well as political relations and economic cooperation between Serbia and Korea. He particularly referred to the Embassy's activities in the field of public diplomacy and the promotion of Serbia through lectures at Korean institutions and universities, interviews to Korean media, pointing out the export potential of Serbia in the field of agricultural and other products.
The lecture was attended by about two hundred young Koreans, who in the coming period will take exams for admission to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. Ambassador Grbić's lecture was followed with great interest.
Ambassador Grbić’s lecture was another opportunity to bring Serbia closer to a wider Korean audience, especially considering that it was broadcast live on YouTube.
It was a great honour for the Embassy of Serbia in Seoul to be invited by the MFA of the Republic of Korea to participate in the mentioned program, bearing in mind that since the inception of the program 20 years ago, only Korean diplomats and officials had given presentations, and this was the first time a presentation was given by a foreign ambassador to the future participants of the Korean National Diplomatic Academy.
