Oslo: Ambassador Petrović at the All-Serb Assembly

The All-Serb Assembly is the largest sports and cultural event of Serbs in Norway. It was organised, for the ninth time, by the association “Srpska Kruna” from Porsgrunn.

The rich sports programme of this year’s gathering consisted of a futsal tournament, a basketball three-point contest for a humanitarian purpose, and a cross-country event organised by the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), with a participation of several dozens of students of a Serbian language supplementary school. In the cultural event, the youngest participants had an opportunity to show their knowledge, and the audience enjoyed a performance by the folk dance troupe of the association of Serbs from Jessheim.

As one of the activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the arrival of the first Serbian prisoners of war, who were brought to Norway for forced labour, a book about these historical events, titled “Varden”, was presented by its author, Saša Dimitrijević.
