Kuwait: Operations team of Jazeera Airways visited the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Kuwait was visited by the operations team of air carrier Jazeera Airways, formed to examine the possibilities and prepare for the possible launching of direct flights from Kuwait to Belgrade.

Bharathan Ravindran, Vice President Sales for the Company, Sachin Nene, Regional Manager for the Gulf countries and Allan Pereira, Sales Manager, informed the charge d'affaires of the Embassy Sanja Vidaković of their intention to visit Belgrade in August with representatives of leading tour operators from Kuwait in order to hold talks in Serbian ministries and organisations in charge of tourism and transport and ascertain the possibility to launch direct flights en route Kuwait–Belgrade.

Bharathan Ravindran said that, provided the conditions were met, the flights were to be established in April 2023.

The re-establishment of direct flights from Kuwait to Belgrade would have a positive impact on numerous segments of bilateral cooperation with Kuwait, and at the same time represent an exceptional event, bearing in mind that 7 May 2023 marks the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations with Kuwait.
