Dortmund: Ambassador Janković with conductor Gabriel Feltz

During her visit to Düsseldorf and Dortmund, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Germany Snežana Janković spoke with Gabriel Feltz, chief conductor of the Belgrade Philharmonic and the Dortmund Philharmonic, about the two Philharmonics’ joint project The Beethoven Marathon, designed to mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of the great composer.
This project, which was supposed to be realised in June 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic, envisages the performance of nine Beethoven symphonies in one day, on 19 June 2022 in Dortmund and on 26 June 2022 in Novi Sad, in cooperation with the Belgrade Philharmonic and the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestras and the Slovak Philharmonic Choir.
Ambassador Janković thanked Gabriel Feltz for his efforts to bring this extremely important and demanding project to realisation. She emphasised its significance for the overall bilateral relations, as well as for the presentation of the culture of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Novi Sad as the European Capital of Culture to the German public.
