Armenia: Delegation of the Republic of Serbia at the 67th session of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation Commission for Europe
Delegations of 35 countries participated in the activity of the World Tourism Organisation Commission for Europe. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan and Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organisation Zurab Pololikashvili.
The meeting was mostly focused on the strategy for recovery and strengthening of the tourism sector during the current global challenges - the COVID-19 pandemic and the situation in Ukraine. Secretary-General Pololikashvili presented a report on the activities of the organisation, which was followed by a report on the results of the organisation’s engagement in Europe.
At the meeting between Ambassador Panajotović-Cvetković and Secretary-General Pololikashvili and Chair of the Commission for Europe and Deputy Minister of Tourism of Greece Sofia Zacharaki, Serbia’s cooperation with the World Tourism Organisation received a positive assessment.
Bulgaria was chosen as the host country of the next session of the UN World Tourism Organisation Commission for Europe, to be held in 2023.
