ENTRY REGIME FOR CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Turkmenistan's borders are closed. International flights have been suspended (except with a few countries), and international transport of goods has been restricted. For foreigners with regulated permanent residence and foreign diplomats and representatives of international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan еntry is possible only by air. Transit is not allowed.
Entry into Turkmenistan is allowed to: foreigners traveling exclusively for humanitarian purposes, as well as those who already have valid Turkmen visas for multiple entries, non-accredited foreign diplomats and Embassy officials only if they obtain a Special Permit from the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and the following documents:
1) Certificate of vaccination (recognized vaccines: Sputnik V, Sputnik Light, EpiVacCorona, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca)
2) Blood test results for IgG /IgM antibodies not older than 72 hours from the date of issue

Everyone who enters Turkmenistan is obliged to undergo quarantine in state-run facilities for 21 days.
Everyone who leaves Turkmenistan must have a Certificate of Physician on negative PCR test results, not older than 24 hours from the flight time.

 

ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY

No social security agreement has been signed.

 

USEFUL INFORMATION

HEALTH SITUATION — No specific vaccination is required for entry.

SECURITY SITUATION — The security situation in Turkmenistan is stable, and there is a tendency towards increased border control.

TRANSPORT — There is a special customs regime for rugs, jewellery, musical instruments, protected species of animals, antiquities, and artwork.
The main airport is in Ashgabat. There are regular flights to Baku, Frankfurt, Moscow, Istanbul, Tashkent, Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Beijing, Almaty, New Delhi, Dubai, London, and Minsk.

OTHER  The national currency is the manat.
Cash payments are most common. Only certain hotels accept credit cards.
