President Vučić received the credentials from the newly appointed ambassadors of Argentina and France
President Vučić welcomed Ambassador Marsico, expressing his belief that he would contribute to the improvement of relations between the two countries with his diplomatic experience and dedicated work.
The interlocutors agreed that traditional friendship, mutual understanding and mutual commitment to respect for the principles of international law are a solid basis for Serbia and Argentina to intensify political dialogue and strengthen economic cooperation, as well as any other cooperation of mutual interest.
On this occasion, the President of Serbia thanked Argentina for its principled position to respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
Ambassador Marsico confirmed Argentina's strong support for Serbia on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija and its commitment to the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
The ambassador said that he was impressed by the economic results that Serbia is achieving and that they would be happy to apply our experiences and advices in Argentina. Opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, food industry, energy and other areas were discussed on this occasion.
The President of Serbia welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of France, Pierre Cochard and expressed confidence that the successful development of Serbian-French cooperation on the basis of traditional friendship and agreed strategic partnership would continue during his term as ambassador as well.
President Vučić sent greetings to President Macron and said that his visit in 2019 opened a new chapter in the history of Serbian-French cooperation, which was proven by numerous signed agreements.
On this occasion, President Vučić and Ambassador Cochard discussed the dynamics of work on joint capital projects, such as the reconstruction of the airport and preparations for the construction of the subway. They also emphasized the importance of the work of the French Development Agency, whose regional headquarters are in Belgrade.
Vučić expressed hope that in the future we will have the active support of France in European integration and other important issues.
The interlocutors also discussed the regional situation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the Western Balkans, to which Serbia, as President Vučić said, will always give its full contribution.
