The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, summed up the outcomes of the two-day Ambassadors’ Conference and conveyed the key messages and objectives of the foreign policy of the Republic of Serbia.

In his address concluding this year’s Conference, Đurić emphasised that strengthening the diplomatic service and recruiting new, highly qualified professionals constitute one of the key objectives of Serbian diplomacy in the period ahead.

The head of Serbian diplomacy underscored that the defence of Serbia’s national interests remains a lasting priority. As he noted, Serbian diplomacy will continue to act responsibly and thoughtfully, safeguarding the state’s interests.

Đurić reaffirmed that Serbia remains firmly committed to a policy of peace, stability and dialogue, with the aim of preserving security and fostering progress across the region.

He highlighted the importance of unified and coordinated action by the diplomatic and consular network, as well as the role of diplomacy in protecting the state and national interests of the Republic of Serbia. He stressed that Serbia’s struggle for Kosovo and Metohija, and for the improvement of the position of the Serbian people in the southern Serbian province, will never cease.

As part of the Ambassadors’ Conference, an exhibition was also organised to mark the 180th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Pašić, one of the most prominent figures in Serbian political and diplomatic history, underscoring the continuity and tradition of Serbian diplomacy.
