Extending a welcome, Kozarev wished the Ambassador success in his new post, expressing confidence that their joint efforts would further contribute to strengthening the ties between the two countries.
The interlocutors agreed that bilateral relations between the two countries are good and characterized by a high degree of mutual respect.
Kozarev thanked the Ambassador for Iran’s principled position regarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia, and underscored Serbia’s commitment to the consistent respect for international law.
The Secretary General briefed the Ambassador on Serbia’s economic growth, highlighting in particular the tripling of the national economy over the past 15 years, the attainment of an investment-grade credit rating, as well as plans for Expo 2027 in Belgrade.
It was also noted that there is a shared interest in further enhancing other forms of cooperation—especially in the fields of economy and trade—building on examples of good practice in cultural and educational cooperation, such as scholarships for studying in Serbia.
