Primary healthcare is available in urban areas, while advanced procedures are mainly unavailable. Emergency medical services are mostly slow or unavailable. Travelers should be aware of the following health risks: Zika virus, Lyme disease, diarrhoea, dengue fever. Travel insurance is necessary.

SECURITY SITUATION — High-risk area, highest per capita rate of murder, a high number of violent gangs, high rate of robberies and sexual crimes.

TRANSPORT — Inter-city buses, taxies in urban areas of the country, entering the country is possible by boat, airplane or on land.
An international driving permit is required for Serbian citizens.

OTHER — Currency: Belize dollar (BZD).
