Windhoek: Ambassador Perišić with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform of Namibia

During his visit to the Republic of Namibia, which was conducted on a non-residential basis, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Angola Miloš Perišić met State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform Ana Šiveda.

Ambassador Perišić highlighted the traditionally good and friendly relations between Serbia and Namibia and the need to improve cooperation in the field of agriculture. He emphasised that Serbia was a leading producer of cereals, seeds merchandise and machinery in the region, and that, in addition to agricultural faculties in our country, there were several institutes for seed and seed materials production. 

State Secretary Šiveda stressed that Namibia was very interested in cooperation with Serbia, particularly in view of its knowledge and technologies. She expressed her willingness to receive the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia, and invited Serbian businessmen to visit Windhoek. 

She particularly highlighted the fact that Namibia was one of the major producers of high-quality meat in Africa, which was distributed throughout the world, and expressed her hope for Namibian meat to be exported to Serbia.
